Dell Printer Explains You How To Remove Skew Issue Of Paper?

Are you experiencing a skew issue while printing via Dell printer? Generally, this problem exists when the paper movement with the print cartridge is not square. This results in irregular print margins along the paper’s sides. Let’s discuss its reasons and solution in detail.

Main Causes

  • Print media is loaded wrong.

  • Feeding paper is at a skewed angle

  • Laser scanner assembly is failing

Solution

1. Firstly, check the Tray Paper Guide if it is being used.

  • Pull out the paper tray from the machine very gently.

  • Balance the paper guides from both the sides i.e. back and sides to match the media that you are using.

  • Now, clear dust particles or any foreign substances from the paper path.

  • Install the tray into the printer again.

2. Again, confirm the paper guides that they are set correctly.

3. Make sure that the print media installed is new, dry and is compatible with the printing machine.

  • For additional information on sizes and types of print media that can be used for a particular tray, visit Online User's Guide

4. Open a fresh stack of pages; fan them to remove the bonds between them. This will break the static bond between all the pages making easier to lift the pages for the printer.

5. Now try a various sort of print media and if you could not find any then take top half of the ream and flip it over to use for your Dell machine.

6. Make sure the environment temperature is set to between 10°C to 26°C.

7. Also, make sure that the rollers, print cartridges, and the belt assembly are clean and there should not be any foreign substance on the machine.

8. Reseat the belt unit and take help from user’s guide if needed.
